THIS year marks a special milestone for Relationships Australia Tasmania. It's their 75th birthday! 75 years of supporting Tasmanians to build strong, respectful relationships and connected communities.
But instead of celebrating with cake and balloons, RA Tas is doing something far more meaningful.
To honour this anniversary, they partnered with 75 communities across Tasmania to host 75 conversations around the question:
'What does a connected and respectful Tasmania look like?'
And we’re incredibly happy to share that The HUB was Conversation #73!
OUR CONVERSATION AT THE HUB
At The HUB, we came together as a community to explore the barriers and enablers that shape healthy, thriving communities.
The conversations were rich, honest, and full of real insight. We didn’t just talk about big-picture ideas, we explored practical, down-to-earth actions that anyone can take to foster respect, inclusion, and connection in their local area.
From social inclusion and mental health support, to respect in relationships and access to community spaces, the voices in the room reflected a deep care for one another and a collective desire to see our community grow stronger ... together.
WHY IT MATTERS
These conversations are more than symbolic. They’re a chance to reflect on what’s working, what’s not, and what we can do together to create positive change.
When people are heard and included, communities flourish.
At The HUB, our community believes in the power of shared ideas, diverse perspectives, and the kind of community spirit that shows up when it matters most. And wow, our community certainly showed up!

Following Conversation #73, we were gifted a beautiful reflection of our time together, a neatly compiled document capturing the thoughts, ideas, and actions that emerged from our discussion. It was heartening to see our collective voices woven into something so tangible. Reading through it, you could feel the care, passion, and practicality behind every suggestion. It’s a powerful reminder that when we come together with open hearts and minds, we create real, actionable pathways toward stronger, more connected communities.
